Franklin, TN, (October 15, 2019) — Williamson College (Franklin, Smyrna) has launched a new publishing division: Williamson College Press. Their first release is a fascinating non-fiction book called Torahism: Are Christians Required to Keep the Law of Moses? in which author R. L. Solberg takes on a modern heresy. A book launch party will be held at the Williamson College Franklin campus (274 Mallory Station Rd.) November 5th at 6:00 PM. It is open to the public.

The launch party will include hors d’oeuvres and beverages, a string quartet from the Nashville Praise Symphony, and copies of Torahism on sale at a discount. Speakers include Williamson College President, Edward M. Smith Ph.D. and author R. L. Solberg, who will share the story behind the making of the book, read from it, and host a brief Q&A session. There will also be a raffle for a free book and other prizes.

“We chose Torahism as our first book because it’s an important topic and an academically robust work, yet it’s very accessible,” explains Williamson College President Ed Smith. “Rob addresses an aberrant modern theology in a way that has great application for the average Christian and will deepen the reader’s understanding of the Gospel. He does a superb job of balancing grace and truth.”

The book, Solberg’s first, is a work of Christian Apologetics, the branch of study that defends Christianity against philosophical and theological attack.  It is enjoying a pre-launch buzz, having been described by early reviewers as “a masterful work”, “impressively written and researched”, and “an apologetic in the best tradition of Christian scholarship.” The book features a forward by local Christian apologetics luminary Paul Wilkinson, Ph. D.
